Frequently Asked Questions

General Questions

What is the difference between Microsoft Store and Installer?

MagicPods (Microsoft Store) and MagicPods (Installer) have the same functionality and are updated simultaneously.
The main difference is the installation method:

  • MagicPods (Microsoft Store) — can only be installed via the Microsoft Store.
  • MagicPods (Installer) — does not require a Microsoft account or Microsoft Store.

Please note that an activation code of the form XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX is only valid for the Microsoft Store version, while a license key is valid only for the installer version.

It is not recommended to install both versions simultaneously, as they have the same name, which could cause confusion. Also, only one version of the app can be running at a time.

Which headphones are supported?

A full list of supported headphones, available features, and troubleshooting recommendations are available on the Help page. Use the table of contents for easy navigation.

How to report a bug or request a new feature?

Go to the Report Issue page and choose your preferred method of contact.

How to fix or improve the translation?

Go to the Translate page, select the desired language, and suggest your changes. Registration is optional, but if you decide to register, check your Spam folder — confirmation emails may end up there.

Installer Questions

How to purchase MagicPods (Installer)?

Go to the Purchase page, then follow the instructions from the MagicPodsBot Telegram bot. A “Product Key” is required to create a license, which you will find in the MagicPods app.

Where to find the “Product Key”?

Open the MagicPods app and go to the “Support” page. Press the “Enter Key” button, and in the window that appears, you will find the “Product Key”.

If the “Enter Key” button is missing, it means you are using the MagicPods (Microsoft Store) version.

How does the license key work?

The license key is tied to a specific computer. If you want to use MagicPods (Installer) on multiple devices, you will need to purchase a separate key for each computer.

How to update MagicPods (Installer)?

The app automatically checks for updates and downloads them upon launch. If you want to update manually, download the installer and run it. The installer will prompt you to update the app instead of a full installation.

How to install MagicPods (Installer) on Windows LTSC?

To install the app, you need to add AppInstaller support.

Follow these steps:

  1. Open PowerShell (click “Start” and type “PowerShell” in the search bar).
  2. Run the following command:
    Add-AppxPackage https://github.com/microsoft/winget-cli/releases/latest/download/Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller_8wekyb3d8bbwe.msixbundle

  3. After installing AppInstaller, download the installer and install the app.
